Easy Corn Bread
1 cup all purpose flour 1 cup corn meal 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 2/3 cup sugar 1/4 cup butter, softened 1 egg 1 cup milk 1 cup corn, cooked
Heat oven to 375 °F. Grease 8 or 9-inch pan. Combine dry ingredients. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add egg and mix well. Add flour mixture alternately with milk, beating after each addition until smooth. Add corn and mix again. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 35 minutes or until light golden brown and wooden tooth pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Yield: 10 to 12 Servings
